The Brass Band Festival

The world famous Hardraw Scaur Brass Band Festival is Britain’s second oldest outdoor contest and takes place annually the second Sunday of September. Starting time is 10 am although it is advisable to arrive early and please bring your own fold up chair. After the completion of the competition, the concert MC will introduce the Finale program. This is the traditional end to the day which takes the form of an impromptu concert given by the massed bands drawn from those who have competed in the contest.
